This vacuum cleaner is an excellent choice for apartment dwellers as it has smaller docking systems and has its own garbage bin. The app lets you choose different modes and monitor the cleanliness, plus the mopping feature is awe-inspiring.
Its mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance are impressive, as is the fact that it mops very well, picking up pet hair, spills and dirt. It also self-empties and cleans, and refills its tank.
iRobot Roomba Combo
The iRobot Combo includes mopping in addition to the already impressive vacuuming capabilities of the robot. The Combo features most of the same smarts as the j7 Plus and comes with new acoustic sensors onboard to determine floor type and AI-powered navigation. However, it isn't able to set suction power manually. It's also a little less compact than its vac-only model, and it doesn't have an auto-empty dock.
In my experience I have found that the Combo is a fantastic choice for most homes and its sleek design is one of the top in the industry. The clean matte black plastic looks superior to the competition's metallic or glossy finishes, and iRobot's tiny features--like a leather tab that can open the onboard bin and a shelf inside the dock that can hold additional bags--are more elegant than a lot of its rivals'. The iRobot Combo makes it easy to create maps and set up Keep-Out Zones.
Roborock
Roborock, a relatively new player in the robotic vacuum and mop industry, has already established itself by offering an array of cutting-edge cleaning technologies. Roborock's vacuums are world-class in suction, and mopping systems make use of vibrating mops to scrub floors clean. It also has a self-emptying bin that provides an adequate amount of suction power, offers a number of mopping options and is operated by a high-end app that is compatible with both iOS and Android.
It's a bit smaller than the competition and its main brush is shorter but it still managed a quick job in our test room. The revolving brush on the side for edges is a nice feature and, while it couldn't lift dirt off our carpets as well as some of the competitors however, it did a decent job overall.
